Juan Valdez - Midtown - WiFi HotSpot

This flagship location, designed by the Iranian-born sisters Gisue and Mojgan Hariri, has an eye catching storefront design consisting of a large folded teak plane inspired by - what else - the coffee bean. The inside is just as interesting with fluid forms and leading-edge materials.

There are seating areas in the front and back consisting of about a dozen widely spaced tables so there's plenty of elbow room. Those along the wall have plenty of nearby power outlets. Additional seating is in the form of high stools/tables and small coffee tables with easy chairs.

The wifi service is provided by Sprint and for now at least is free. You need to enter an access code from a coupon you get at the service counter.

The store is owned and operated by the National Federation of Colombian Coffee Growers that seeks to raise the standard of living for the Colombian coffee farmers and their communities.
