Borders - Penn Plaza - WiFi HotSpot

Borders have finally decided to get with the program and offer free wifi in their stores. Penn Plaza is a major transportation hub in the city and this hotspot location can get very congested at times. Finding a seat can be a challenge most days.

Entering from 7th Ave, walk to the back of the store and take the escalator up to the 2nd floor. Directly in front of you as you exit you'll find a small cafe with room for about 30. Seating is cramped and there are no power outlets (use a portable laptop charger to get around this). There is some additional seating in the form of lounge chairs scattered amongst the book shelves, but they are frequently occupied.

The internet connection is provided by Verizon and is very slow. Ok for basic surfing and email, but not much else.
